Frequently Asked Questions....

Question) What is pre-17 off-road tuition? Surely you have to be 17 to drive?

Answer) To drive on the public roads in the UK a learner must be 17 and in receipt of a provisional driving licence (16 for those in receipt of higher rate disability allowance). They must also be medically fit to drive. Many centres are now being established throughout the UK offering pre-17 off-road tuition. Pre-17 learners are taught away from the public highway on private land. This gives youngsters a unique learning environment which is safe, secure and well away from other road users.
Our off-road site has both driving and classroom facilities to cater most training requirements.

Question) How do I know my child will be safe?

Answer) All our instructors are fully approved by the Driving Standards Agency, this incorporates a full (enhanced) criminal records check.
We are fully insured for our activities and we hold public liability cover.
As a company well aware of our responsibility to your family's safety, all our ADIs are first aiders.

Question) What age can my child attend?

Answer) We are only able to offer our services to pupils aged 15 and 16, proof of age will be required and this will be requested upon arrival.

Question) I am local to Walsall and my son/daughter has now turned 17, what's next?

Answer) Having completed some form of pre-17 training your son/daughter will have a basic understanding of car control and this will inevitably lead to a reduction in the number of road lessons they will need.

We would like to think however that you would consider staying with us for your learner tuition. Wherever possible we like to keep pupils with the same tutors and in the same cars as they spent their time on the pre-17 track.
